Dear Clients:
Before consulting the walk-in clinic, did you try to reach your doctor's office to check his/her availability?
According to the new rules from the Quebec Government, clients will have to reserve their appointment online for the walk-in
clinics as of June, 27 2022. There will be a grace period for clients who show up at the door in the morning, but this can change
at any time and then appointments will only be available online.
In addition, the appointments at the walk-in clinics of the GMF de la Basse-Lièvre will be reserved for clients who have a family
doctor within our GMF (Coop Basse-Lièvre, Polyclinique de Buckingham, Coop de Thurso, Clinique Médico-Dentaire Masson-Angers)
and patients without a family doctor and who are registered with the GAP (Guichet d’accès à un médecin de famille).
Those who are on the waiting list for a family doctor.
Unfortunately, clients with a family doctor in another clinic will no longer have access to our GMF walk-in clinics, following the new standards of the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
To access walk-in clinics, clients can use the following sites:
Option 1: RVSQ - Make an appointment https://www.rvsq.gouv.qc.ca/
Option 2: Bonjour-Santé – search for a medical consultation on line: https://bonjour-sante.ca/
Option 3: For patients without a family doctor, call the number that was mailed to you via the Frontline Access Desk
(If you haven’t received this letter, you might not be on the waiting list for a family doctor). In that case contact
GAMF (1 800 561 9749) or you can go to: gamf.gouv.qc.ca
For those of you who are experiencing difficulty, your doctor's receptionist/secretary will be happy to help you.
Thank you for your cooperation and we hope that this new way will facilitate access to a medical evaluation because of an emergency.
